Influence of Staff Motivation on Productivity in Nigeria Breweries, Kaduna
This study was carried out to determine the influence of motivation on productivity in Nigeria Breweries Plc, Kaduna. The researchers examined the adequacy of some proxies to motivation namely: training and development, wages and salaries, work environment and recognition. Descriptive and inferential statistics were used to describe the data obtained, while SPSS was used in the analysis. From the computations and analysis, results obtained showed that training and development have significant influence on productivity as well as other construct tested which is in conformity with other literatures reviewed. It was also discovered that motivation is to cause workers to put their best efforts with enthusiasm and effectiveness in order to achieve and hopefully surpass organisational productivity targets. From the test and analysis of the components of motivation carried out, it was revealed that wages and salary, work environment and recognition have a significant impact on the level of productivity in Nigeria Breweries Plc, Kaduna. The value of the test on all the components tested is lower than the null hypotheses; thus, it shows significant impact on the level of productivity. The researchers among others recommended that training and development, wages and salaries, work environment and recognition should be positively encouraged to enhance productivity in Nigeria Breweries Plc, Kaduna.
