Abstract

This study was carried out to determine the influence of Channels Politics Today programme on the political knowledge of Benin residents. The objective was to see if the programme has any influence on the social political decision making of the electorate. Survey research was employed while questionnaire was used as instrument of data collection. A total of 250 copies of questionnaire were administered and were returned and found useable. Findings revealed that the programme has positive influence on the socio-cultural knowledge of the respondents. Thus, it was recommended among others that elites and stakeholders in the society should view the programme more often so as to make them aware of/ and have in-depth knowledge about various national issues.
